What I find crazy, is how quickly you rack up views, even before the vid is done processing, we have some hungry hungry viewers...as usual, awesome recap of tech news, I myself have a hard time keeping up and finding anything interesting :)

Ever since i started school, i don't even bother going to every other site due to time restrictions. TekSyn is now my one stop shop for tech news. Let's hope the integrity of the community stays intact through its surge in popularity.

About Greenlight, there was games being posted that were just random people posing fake games. So they added the $100 because an actual dev would be able to post there games without to much of a hole in there pocket. Even Indie devs should not have tooooo much trouble getting $100 to post there game. But some 16 kid that just wanted to be annoying will not. Also the $100 goes to charity. Can't remember where exactly.

i think the charity is called childs play http://www.childsplaycharity.org/

I <3 bandcamp.  Link because you forgot to link it: http://zweihander.bandcamp.com/album/ear-slayer

In response to Wendell (speeling?) talking about people needing a fear of dying (the answer is lions): https://

Its so great that gaming hardware vendors are now seriously looking at building drivers for Linux all because of Steam.  It will be awesome to have good support from them.  Then hopefully it will drive more game developers to release linux versions (especially big release games).

But surely someone will need to bandage up OpenGL after DirectX's unprovoked and aggressive attacks.  I don't see DirectX support coming to linux.

I remember gaming on linux back in the day with Cedega and wine, got quite a few games working... Prey, GTASA, NFSU2 to name a few. COD2 and MoH:PA worked straight out of the box which was awesome, mostly it was trial and error though.  Seems to be a lot harder these days though - or maybe I am just lazier - WineHQs appDB has quite a few games listed as working well: http://appdb.winehq.org/index.php

I remember seeing an article on how deal with micrometeorite collisions in outer space.  I can't find it now, but they had a thin aluminium shield then a gap, then [what would be] the spacecraft fuselage.  The [simulated] micrometeorites impacted the shield, left a pinhole in it, but most importantly couldn't penetrate the fuselage since the shield dispelled the kinetic energy.  Should do until we invent forcefields.

What's up with all the crazed sex phobes. You know the world is messed up when a game about seducing someone of the opposite sex is "offensive" and blood spattering, gut spewing, head decapitating zombie massacre games are just fine and dandy.

I actually went to their site and read about the game and it's far from what could be called offensive. http://www.seducemegame.com/game.html

I almost want to buy the game just to support them. Sex is not evil.

That game sounds just like all the Japanese data sims...well the softer ones.  Fun fact, they have a genre for those games in Japan, Eroge... :)

Its pretty objectifying, and it's pretty hardcore, which I certainly wouldn't want on my gaming service. It would have been nice if Steam would have warned what was going to far, but I definitely think this should have been obvious.

Where do you find "Latest Games" on steam?

posted 1 year 7 months ago

Not sure. I can't find anything on steampowered.com that references a linux section for games.

This is nothing new. The USA gets upset over nudity and most of the rest of the world gets upset over violence but does not care that much about nudity. Hence all the games with Green Blood in Germany. ZOMBIES! There not human they have green blood! It is like telling people it is completely ok to kill living creatures as long as the blood is not red. :P

So, Google patented the way Apple convinces some people to pay more for average products?.

Shady, but clever.

Great as always guys, I think the price for adding something on greenlight is fine. If your game is worth buying it shouldnt be a problem anyway
