Not for me, but a nice board none the less.

Good job Wendell,

But let me narcissistically speak for everyone and say stop everything you're doing and review kaveri already.

I don't see the need for a 160$ B85 motherboard when you can have an MSI z87-G45 with more features for 9 bucks more....

That's... wow. That's an amazing deal if you want a B85 Mobo.

Yes it does! And make more sense thanks :D

Thank you for the review Wendell, as usual a very through job. Nice to hear your personal comments on this board.

Anyone else think Wendell should start doing books on tape. He's like the tek syndicate Morgan Freeman. Kickstarter anyone???

Here's to you, random citizen:

.be

(not trying to do a morgan freeman impersonation, more for you to realize what sort of abomination you've wrought in my best narrator voice. Plus I'm rather bored at the moment waiting for.. things.. to install.. and compile.. and whatnot. )

All future unboxings need to be read like this.

Lets just all agree. The Defiant is the most bad ass ship in Star Trek.

its about 50 torpedo launchers strapped to a galaxy class warp subsystem. I'm not sure that's really engineering as much as copy-paste. Plus the design had a tendency to want to fly apart. Not unlike dropping a big block v8 on rallycar frame.

Cool video Wendel

Asrocks fatality line boards where allways decent. Asrock also  released  a new  990FX Killer board for AMD am3+ with decent 8+2 powerphase digi vrm, and the gold plated caps very decent stuff. But there is also a Asrock 990FX Fatality professional, with a massive 12+2 powerphase digi vrm, and all the sick stuff

also on socket 2011 they have a fatality line of boards, and as far as i know they are also very nice. ☺

I´m not realy an Asrock low budget board fan, but theire fatality line of boards are decent. its also a good alternative for the people who like red/black theme builds, but not wanne kill theire banks accounts for an Asus ROG.

Grtz Angel ☺

Extremely impressive for the price point that it comes in at.

Impressive vid Wendell, all I would say is you might read a little slower as people like me take a bit mroe time to digest the spoken word than some. Samuel Jackson adds some nice pauses to his monologues too.

I like the pace. You can always pause. I do that whenever tables are presented (more for Linus than here). I think Wendell is perfect for this type of thing.

There's an H87 board too in that series, that costs less than 90 EUR incl. taxes. It's known that the B/H boards have more fps with a single GPU card than the Z-boards (up to 30% more), but I'd like to know which one is actually the fastest, the B or the H board.

Great video by the way, this is hardware that actually makes sense, Z-boards and k-chips make absolutely no sense at all.

Of the entire AsRock Fatal1ty series, I like the 990FX board the most, it comes with an m.2 connector already in place. That board will fly once those m.2 SSD modules are available, SataIII/mSata bottleneck gone... yummy.

What software do you use to check the processor speeds etc?  Is it built in to windows or third party?

Great Review Wendell.
