Weekend Deals: Titanfalls to $20 + Free 48 Hour Trial

This weekend EA Origin is launching an "Everything Titanfall" sale dropping the base game to $19.99 and the Season Pass to $17.49 - both their lowest prices ever + hot deals on Watch Dogs, $6 Dishonored GOTY & Tomb Raider GOTY.

This weekend EA is letting you download and play the Titanfall free for 48 hours on your Origin account. The 48 hour period begins after you start up for the first time and lets you play the full game - not just a trial version. The kicker is you might want to buy it sooner rather than later. Origin dropped the price to $19.99 - the lowest ever seen - but the reduced price tag will only last through Sunday, August 24th at 11am Pacific. After that point, the game will return to $39.99.

For those who already own Titanfall, Origin has the Season Pass on sale for $17.49, or 30% off the usual $24.99. That too is the best price we've seen on the Season Pass. Alternatively, if you're buying each DLC individually, both Expedition and Frontier's Edge are 20% off.

In other weekend game deal news, Uplay's PC Gaming Summer Sale ends on August 24th. For the most part, they've only had a few standouts like today's price drop on Watch Dogs Deluxe Edition to $46.89. That's the lowest price ever for the Deluxe Edition by about $6 and gets you the base Watch Dogs game and five other DLC packs. Oddly, Uplay still charges the full $59.99 list price for the Standard Edition. (Now $41 for Standard).

Update: GMG also started an encore of their "50 Games" Sale. Some top picks below.

Well I went and tried Titanfall for my first time since the beta.

It hasn't gotten any better as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah and I feel like hardly anyone plays the game.

Better, what is wrong with it in your opinion? I've been casually playing to pass the time, BF4 really started to bug me but Titanfall has been ok.

Agreed Battlefield is the blah to me. COD movement always bugged me. I feel like Titanfall is just fun and has fixed everything that I did not like with COD in the first place.

I am not impressed by Titanfall, but; Strike Vector looks good. I haven't played it yet, just picked it up on the steam sale XD. But it looks awsome.

CTF on titanfall was amazing, the most fun and adrenalin, I've had in a multiplayer game in a long time. Pity in Aus at least that no-one plays the game mode anymore and all you see is attrition which I find quite boring due to lack of objective
