Roccat Kone XTD Gaming Mouse: 8200 DPI and an Onboard ARM CPU

Roccat's Kone XTD - Max Customization Gaming Mouse has an insane 8200 DPI laser and an onboard Core 2 72MHz ARM MCU processor.

“We’ve taken the Kone franchise to new heights with the XTD,” says René Korte, ROCCAT Founder and CEO. “This is a supreme gaming weapon custom-built for the most demanding warriors. We can’t wait to show off the newest big cat of gaming mice at E3 and Computex.”

These specs are a little out of control. Yesterday we took a look at the Leetgion Hellion gaming mouse with cherry mx blue switches and a 5000 DPI (CPI) laser, and today I received an email from Roccat about their new Kone XTD and its insane 8200 DPI "Pro Aim R3" laser.

The mouse also features an onboard Core 2 72MHz ARM MCU processor. This gives it the "most advanced tracking and distance control unit" on the planet.

There seems to be several interesting options in the gaming mouse world. This will clearly be the leader in terms of features. As far as style and build quality... I imagine this will be top notch, but I will need to try one out before making any judgements.

If you are not familiar with Roccat, they are a based out of Hamburg, Germany and their quality lives up to German standards. They make more than just mouses and keyboards. They innovate. The Roccat Power-Grid  turns your smartphone into a control center for gaming (or desktop computing). The beauty of it is that new game profiles can easily be added. This gives you another simple interface to monitor and control your games. It is not meant to replace your mouse and keyboard.

I'll get one of these for review and let you know how it is.
