Chrome stole the crowm from Miscosoft Internet Explorer. That's pretty impressive when you consider the fact that Chrome has to be downloaded and installed separately and Internet Explorer is shoved down your throat from the instant you turn on your computer. Installing a new browser is nothing for us, but for some people (non-tech types) that is enough to keep them using Internet Explorer... In reality, I guess we have been installing Chrome or FireFox on all their systems as well. (How many times have you installed Chrome of FF on someone else's system?)
I'm a little worried about Chrome's ability to maintain it's position on top. Microsoft is trying to ban it from use on the ARM-based Windows 8. We shall see.
