Researchers Claim Amazing Breakthrough In Quantum Computing

Researches have created a crystal with just 300 atoms which supposedly acts like an insanely powerful quantum computer.  The crystal takes advantage of a property called superposition, where a quantum particle can appear to be in two distinct states simultaneously.  This would allow the qubit to solve two equations simultaneously.

I don't know very much at all about quantum physics, and the writing in this article seems a bit sensationalist.  Does anyone with a solid physics background have any thoughts regarding this?
