Watchdogs Legion RTX 3070 Benchmarks: In-Game & Canned Testing
Watchdogs Legion is out and (almost) ready to be tested. At first, there were some severe performance issues. The latest updates have made it so that the GPU is taxed fully and the benchmarks are less finicky. Still, it’s a tough game to run, so I decided to find the best way to play it with a 3070. I tested this at several resolutions until deciding that I’m done for now. The Nvidia GTX 1070 ti is here. The card fits into an interesting place, between the GTX 1070 and the GTX 1080. You will see several different versions of this card, but notice that they are all at or around the stock speed. The reason for this is likely due to the fact that overclocked or extreme-edition cards would probably be about as fast as a stock GTX 1080, thus cannibalizing on that market some. So, you are paying extra for the fancier PCB, heatsink, VRM, etc. so you can better overclock the card yourself.
