posted 7 months 2 weeks agoI'll have to try the new patch to see how it works out, but System Shock 2 has supported wide resolutions for a while through some very classy community made patches and mods. More than just upping the res, high-definition textures have been created for most weapons, objects and signs/computer screens in the game world. There's even a nice mod manager program that allows you to load and unload various patch versions, mods and fix a few stubborn bugs.

posted 7 months 2 weeks agoDDFIX/Widescreen Patch only supported a max of something like 1920x1080. 1.19 supports any resolution imaginable. It's a native fix, not a hacked together patch from people who don't fully understand how the dark engine worked.
