We have reached episode 20. I think it's time for a beer. Anyone wanna join me?
I think we have proven our staying power on the internet. The community has really been growing and the site is almost making enough money to live off of... almost. Don't forget the ChipIn that we have going on (on the sidebar), and thank you to all the members that donated. I was shocked at how many of you gave. We will give back! I'll not be using any of that money for personal bills (or beer). It's all going into the site. Some will go to improving the site and some will go toward the purchase of hardware for video reviews. I'll give away the hardware we purchase for review (unless it's a nescacarry studio upgrade). It's all for the community!

posted 9 months 4 days agoHi!
New user here, and I just have to say that you guys are a breath of fresh air when it comes to tech news!
I also have a suggestion on what to review, and I know that not everyone will agree, but I would definitely like to know how good the newly announced Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E. 7 keyboard really is. As it is quite expensive, a really thorough and non biased review from you guys would probably be appreciated by potential buyers :)

posted 9 months 4 days agoI don't know why anyone would want to buy that thing at even 1/3rd the price. You could get two high quality mechanical keyboards for that price.

posted 9 months 4 days agoWith Adobe CS6 they've started adopting OpenCL and dropping Cuda support from some applications, Photoshop CS6 has already switched to OpenCL, though I believe premier and/or after-effects still support Cuda, but I wouldn't plan on continuing support for CUDA moving forward.
And in that respect, it's AMD all the way; every review online of the Kepler series GPU's shows that while they eek out slightly better gaming performance in most cases, it comes at crippled Compute and OpenCL performance. In most tests, the old 580/fermi series outperform Kepler in Computer and OpenCL, though still fall far short of the AMD 7000 series.

posted 9 months 4 days agoThanks a lot for this. I was unaware of Adobe's direction with CS6. This is great news. It's looks like I'll be looking into some AMD cards. I just sold my Nvidia card today.

posted 9 months 4 days agoThe youtube video for Google's 3d printer was taken down :(
As for the Nvidia card, I really think that companies and people should stop supporting their closed-source (close-minded) technologies like PhysX and CUDA. ATI (and yes I still call them ATI :P I'm proud of that old canadian company) has been working hard to put out some GREAT hardware and it's just sad that there aren't so many products taking advantage of this hardware. AMD should really just focus on getting some great staff for better drivers as well as some marketing partners to get better offerings.
As always, great video Logan!
PS: Don't hire anyone if it's to replace you in the videos! :P That would be a shame, your humour is just unmatchable ^^
