Worst Ad Campaign Ever - Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

Ubisoft thinks its audience is a bunch of slobbering, pop culture absorbed morons. Seriously, how did they expect us to react to this Coco nonsense?

It looks like we are losing another (once intelligent) franchize to the pop culture machine. Team Ghost is an insult to any self respecting gamer. What is Team Ghost? Well, Ubisoft is pulling together various celebrities to create a gaming team for an online reality show. I admit Kevin Love (NBA) and Justin Blackmon (college football) seem cool enough. They are professional athletes, not professional gamers, but at least they know how to speak. 

This brings me to this travesty of a video featuring Coco. Her claim to fame is that she is married to Ice-T. I keep typing  sentences and deleting them. I can not even figure out what to say about this. This is a massive insult to female gamers. Hell, it's an insult to all gamers. What does this say about Ubisoft's perception of their audience? I am not even going to get into the sexism. I think we all have a grasp on that... And we can talk about it in the comments. The comments on GameTrailers.com are about 95% negative. On an unrelated note, this girl is absolutely revolting. 

I was really looking forward to Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. I loved the first game. It's still one of my favorite FPS games of all time because there was so much to it. You really had to plan your moves. It forced you to think.  I'm not sure how I feel about the new game now. I'm worried, to say the least. 

Ubisoft, this is the worst marketing campaign ever. Fire your marketing team. Fire Complex and Team Ghost. Fire anyone who said this was a good idea. I seriously want to meet the people behind this nonsense. They need someone to slap some sense into them. I'm up for the challenge. 

All in all, I guess I am just sad to see another franchise turn into this. This marketing tells me that the game will be watered down to cater to the lowest common denominator. I really hope that the developers and the marketers are not governed by the same people.

who the hell is Coco? and I think you should be equally concerned that they are bastardizing it with kinect

 I do need to agre gigabuster turn based rpgs are awesome it really gets good when the turn based is based off of a sort of recharge time

 At first I laughed....then I cried about this stupidity. Seems like Ubisoft totally took most of the behaviour on Xbox-Live serious and made an ad out of it... or maybe it was made by most of the people on Xbox-Live. Who the hell employs these people...-.-

The last Tom Clancy game I played was the vegas series, I just bored with them after a while.  To be honest I had no idea it was even going to be on the PC.  But ya this was some serious low grade stuff and I think we all know what audience they're aiming for.  Question I have is that are most, if not close to all mainstream titles will end up falling prey to stuff like this?

 You just can't take this campaign seriously. I think I'm going to pass on this anyways, the PC beta was awful. The graphics are horrible, totally consolized. The interface looks like it was thrown together by a three year old and I do believe that the texture resolutions are better in CoD...and that's saying something. Mix all that with a campaign featuring a fake ex-Navy SEAL sniper and a ghetto coal burner (no offense) and you have a game that isn't worth a $10 Steam sale. A slap in the face to the people who loved the first game. I wonder what they're going to kill off next?

 although if you think about it adds aren't neccasarly aimed at the people who are fans, but instead to be aimed at those who aren't fans.
