posted 9 months 2 weeks agoEngines like Frostibe2, Cryengine3, RAGE, Unigine and alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll (like each L represents 10 engines) of the others would have to be completely remastered, or build from the zero. That's 5+ years work to get in the same stage we are right now.. Not to mention that we still limited by the consoles, and if we weren't it would take even more time to get in the same stage of diversity complexity fluidity and beauty using an other platform like Linux.
This will happen soon, i believe that in the next 10 years, maybe i little more or less, we will have to get away from x86, and we all know that x86based software would again have to be completely remastered, or build from the zero. I mean, isn't it stupid? we change code "now" and then suddenly within 10 years we have to change it again?
Most people don't know this, but I'm sure you guys do, so why not comment it? By comment i mean, explain, share, and dilute/shrink this for the viewers.
Now a little thought about Steam. Steam is very dangerous too, at the beginning we might think oh look at that, it sells the same soft that i could get elsewhere for the same price, but we a bunch of bonus, like unified library, auto-update, security, cloud-saves, chat, stats, overlay, etc etc etc.. But the point is, everybody thinks all these bonus are for free. Well, the truth it is not. You gain all those bonus in trade of your liberty, you lose the power of owing, it's like they have landed you, not sold. Steam could suspend your account and you would lost everything, everything, I'm gonna repeat again, EVERYTHING you've paid for. Your money, your software, your saves, all gone in a sec. I don't like that, no ones like that, but they force us to accept it in trade of their bonuses, which are great no discussion on that, but does it worth the same value of our liberty? Most people do sacrifice they liberty because they don't feel the lacking of liberty in the exact moment of the trade, the pain comes later, and it uses to come in a time when there's no more time to regret. This is very serious and could end up very messy.
Well I'm old school too, just like you guys, and i will not accept those kind of acts, if necessary i will move to the other side of the internet. Sometimes it really feels like a hourglass, everyday that passes i read something that compromises our liberty over the internet, and there will be the day that we will have none, unless we go to the other side there will be none, even what you type could/would be tracked.
by the way, what were you drinking? i always wonder what's in there.... ahahhaha
c ya

Installing any application on Windows 8 will add the "start menu" items to the start screen. You do not have to install it using the Windows Store.
